Now that I have got the basics out of the way I can now tell you what I have learnt that works best when thinking about submitting so here are my top tps.
Always put quality of an image before quantity, in other words do not submit loads of poor quality images make your images or photographs as perfect as they can be.
See what customers want to buy most on the stock image/photo websites. Most of the websites will provide details on what images are selling best.
Keep good order of your images I find putting images onto well organised folders helps. If you just put all the images into the same large folder it will overwhelmed you especially if you have 1000 or more images.
I find personally that putting about 20 images into each folder and then dating that folder with the date and then putting that folder into a larger folder representing a month helps. By doing that my images are put into an easy to find chorological order.
When key wording look at the words used by other people to describe similar images for example if you have a picture of a duck, look at what keywords other people have used for their duck images.
When key wording make sure that you do not add keywords that have no relevance to an image for example if you have a picture full of bricks don’t have the keyword baby as it has nothing to do with the image.
Spell the keywords correctly always use a spellchecker to check correctly spelt words.
Keep a list of all your keywords in a text document that your images are kept in. This will help especially if you need to submit your images to many different websites.
