The first thing when picking a site to sell your images on is to make sure that you know exactly what you are doing. It is always worth checking reading all the legal documentation and making sure that if theirs anything you do not understand ask the website. It is also always worth asking if that if you sell work on the chosen website that you could also sell the very same artwork elsewhere. By checking you know where you stand and what your rights are.
I myself am on several websites different websites I find that if you confine your images to just one place you are limiting the amount of people who can see your images and more importantly buy them.
Out of all the sites I am on here are the top 3 that I think would by the best.
1) Shutterstock
This was the very first site that I joined it is by far and away the site that gets me the most profit. It is regally at the top of most major search engines when looking for stock photography. Pay for each image may be modest, however with this site the chances of selling more images on the site is higher. The site accepts vectors as well as footage as well.

2) Fotolia
Another great website that pays out more for each image sold. It’s very straightforward to upload images to the site. For me this has also been one of my biggest earners.
3) Dreamstime
I have been with this website for years, and since i have joined it has gone from strength to strength. It even offers rewards and competitions.
4) Stockexpert
Another great site that is also very friendly. Last year I was even invited to an event organised by them in central London so members of the site could meet other members. The site also allows footage as well and more importantly sales have been very good as well.
